Leeds Lit Fest presents
Help! I've written a Children's book! Are you interested in writing for children? Are you interested in children’s books or the world of publishing in general? The children’s book market is currently experiencing (another) golden age with sales and library loans of children’s books ever on the rise. But what does it mean to be a children’s author, how do you go about finding an agent and getting published?
Our panel of experts are on hand to talk to you about their routes into publishing and being publshed. So join editor, Tilda Johnson and authors, Liz Flanagan and Catherine Jacob for a lively discussion (chaired by author, James Nicol) on everything you’ve ever wanted to know about writing and publishing for children and teens.
The panel event will be followed by tea and coffee and your chance to chat more informally with the panel and also find out about the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and The Golden Egg Academy to amazing organisations established to support Children’s writers.
