The only woman to have won the August Derleth Award for Best Horror Novel three times, Catriona Ward has become one of the leading lights in the modern horror and suspense scene.

Talking with Dan Coxon, she will discuss her experiences with her breakout bestseller The Last House on Needless Street, as well as her current novel Sundial, and her life prior to the publication of her award-winning debut, Rawblood. 

You will also find out about her latest novel Looking Glass Sound due out in April and be the first to hear all about it direct from Catriona!

Catriona Ward was born in Washington, DC and grew up in the US, Kenya, Madagascar, Yemen, and Morocco. She is the author of Rawblood and Little Eve, both of which won Best Horror Novel at the British Fantasy Awards, and she has also received the Shirley Jackson Award. Her third novel, The Last House on Needless Street, was a Times bestseller, The Times and Observer Thriller of the Month, and was chosen for BBC2's Between the Covers Book Club with Sara Cox and the Richard & Judy Book Club. Catriona lives in London and Devon.

Dan Coxon’s non-fiction anthology Writing the Uncanny (co-edited with Richard V. Hirst) won the British Fantasy Award for Best Non-Fiction 2022, while his short story collection Only the Broken Remain (Black Shuck Books) was shortlisted for two British Fantasy Awards in 2021 (Best Collection, Best Newcomer). His latest anthology - Isolation - was published by Titan Books in September 2022.
